We keep this simple: Rowan House Beauty currently uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind.
What we use cookies for
When you sign in, a session cookie keeps you logged in as you move between pages, and remembers items in your cart during checkout. Without this cookie, the site would sign you out on every page and your cart would empty itself constantly — it’s essential to the site functioning, not for tracking you.
We also briefly note a small “cookie notice seen” cookie once you dismiss the banner on your first visit, so we don’t show it to you again.
Why no consent banner with choices
Under GDPR and Nigerian data protection law, strictly necessary cookies — the kind required for the site to function, like staying signed in — don’t require consent. We show a simple notice for transparency, but there’s nothing to opt in or out of yet, because we don’t set any non-essential cookies.
If that changes
If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies in future, we’ll update this page and ask for your explicit consent before setting them, as required by law.
